About This Spot

Stepping into Miss Jane's Restaurant is like slipping into a cherished family kitchen where time slows down just enough to savor the moment. Nestled on Main Street in Warrenton, this unpretentious spot greets you with a calm, inviting rhythm—a place where familiar faces and warm hellos are part of the daily flow. The hum of easy conversation blends softly with the comforting clatter of dishes, setting a tone that feels both relaxed and intimately connected to the community it serves.

The pace here is unhurried, reflecting a genuine care not only in the way meals are prepared but in the shared experience of sitting down together. The atmosphere is welcoming in a quiet, unassuming way—a beloved hometown refuge where folks of all ages gather and stories find their way into the tableside chatter.

Beyond the friendly smiles, the food carries the soft weight of tradition. Home-cooked favorites, such as deeply satisfying country fried steak bathed in rich brown gravy, speak to roots run deep in southern kitchens. Each plate has a comforting gravity, the kind of meal that feels like a warm embrace after a long day. The menu might surprise you in how generously it fills both belly and spirit without complicating the simple joy of good, honest cooking.

Miss Jane's doesn’t aim for flash or flair—it’s the steady local diner where flavors evoke memories, where the sweet notes of an old-fashioned chocolate cake bring a subtle smile, and where the portions offer a tangible kindness through their generosity. The staff, known by many, serve with a gentle attentiveness that underscores the sense of belonging and care woven through every interaction.

In all, Miss Jane's Restaurant embodies the heart of a family restaurant rooted in warmth and familiarity—an unpretentious place where you can settle in, feel seen, and leave with more than just a full plate.

The food is delicious. The chocolate cake has the old fashioned cooked icing!! The prices are so low I couldn’t believe it. The people are so nice. Can’t wait to go back.

Stopped in just minutes before closing time and was served a delicious southern home cooked meal cafeteria style. The catfish, fried chicken, sweet potatoes, turnip greens and more were cooked like mom used to make them. Very friendly service and it is understandable why this delightful place is a hometown favorite. We hope our travels take us by Miss Jane’s again !!

Miss Jane, her staff and the food are excellent!!! My husband and I along with my daughter and her fiancé went to this restaurant this past Sunday to sample the food in preparation for my daughter’s wedding. I couldn’t ask for better service!!! The restaurant is family friendly. You could see that the location is loved by the community.

Down home feel, not elegant just a good country diner where the locals eat.

The food is amazing, and the price is even better!! The people are also sweet! The shrimp I had was really good, I loved how it was fried. I got a good amount of food for the price! Spent less than $9 total

Great southern food, buffet style, good choices and $9 a plate includes a drink!

This was a last minute stop for our family. We were on a family trip and needed some good food to keep us fueled for the ride home. The atmosphere was VERY welcoming. We agreed to stop here every time were near Warrenton again because that food was so good. The bathrooms could use some TLC but everything else was amazing. The sweet tea tasted like it was made with love, along with everything we ate. SO GOOD. I can't stop thinking about it!
